Tamil Nadu Teacher Recruitment Board invited direct recruitment for the post of Secondary Grade Teacher in their recently released notification on 9 February. The TRB has released the essential information related to the recruitment, let’s see:

TN TRB Secondary Teacher Eligibility 2024
The recruitment board has released the eligibility criteria for the posts, we have discussed them to see if you qualify for the post:
The age limit of the applicants varies by their category. Let’s see the Age limit:
- For General category candidates, the age limit is set according to the G.O (M.s) No. 185, School Education (Budget-1). The upper age limit for the general category Secondary Grade Teacher appointment is 53 years of age.
- For ST/ SC, MBC/ DNC, DW, and other backward classes the age limit is set to 58 years of age for the candidates.
The application must possess the following educational qualifications:
- 12th pass with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary education; OR
- 12th pass with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary education by NCTE; OR
- 12th pass with at least 50% marks and a 4-year B.El.Ed.OR
- 12th pass with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Special education, OR
- Graduation with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary education &
- Must have qualified the Paper- I of the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET)
- The candidate must know the official language of the state, i.e. Tamil.
TN TRB Secondary Teacher Application Fee 2024
According to the notice, the application fee for the examination is Rs 600 for all the categories except SC/ ST/ SCA and differently-abled individuals. The applicants belong to SC/ SCA/ ST and differently-abled persons have to pay Rs 300/- only as the examination fee.
