The cabinet of the state government in a meeting on the 12th of February resolved to distribute Nua-O Magic Smart Cards to kids which are going to assist them in improving their abilities and other issues. All Students who are eligible are going to get the Nabin Odisha Magic Card by August.

The availability of the “Nua-O Magic Smart Card” for pupils who qualify for the state was announced by the 5T Chairman on Tuesday. He was addressing a gathering at a Nua-O event in the Jajpur district.  

With a spending limit of Rs 385 crore for the fiscal years 2023–24 to 2025–26, the plan would prioritize tribal and remote communities while covering all 30 districts. 

The Nua-O scholarship is expected to benefit roughly 4.5 lakh undergraduate students and 32,000 postgraduate students. By August, Nua-O Magic Smart Cards will be distributed to students. This marks the beginning of a new phase in the empowerment of students. 

All qualified students will obtain Nua-O magic smart cards by August, giving them entry to free WiFi, e-learning possibilities for skill development, and coaching programs. According to Pandian, an inventory of Rs 300 crore will have been built up then.

The Nua-O Magic Smart Cards will only be given to qualified students. The requirements to be eligible for Nua-O Magic Smart Cards are shown below.

  • The candidate must be a resident of  Odisha state. 
  • Candidates must be enrolled in school to apply.
  • Candidates must have the required documents such as Aadhar card, 10th certificate, student card. 
  • If the parents guardians the kids are income taxpayers or long-term employees of the government, they will not be qualified for the scholarship. 
  • The candidate must be a student enrolling in undergraduate and graduate programs at public universities, government, ranging and non-government-aided educational institutions, including Sanskrit colleges within the Higher Education department.
