Voter ID Card Download
Voter ID card is issued by Election Commission of India to every citizen of India who has attained the age of 18 years. It also serves as your identity proof and address proof. So, it’s an essential document to hold for every Indian Citizen.
The Government of India has set up an electronic portal e-EPIC, it is an electronic version of the EPIC (Electors Photo Identity Card). At this portal, the voters can download their Voter ID cards or e-EPIC cards in a PDF file. You can use the PDF file as a hard copy and can also laminate it for longer use or you can upload your document to Digi Locker, it’s quite convenient to secure your documents.
Steps to Download your Voter ID Card
Follow the below steps to download your Voter ID Card:
- Step 1: Go to the Voters Service Portal. https://voters.eci.gov.in/
- Step 2: Go to Services and Click on the e-EPIC download.
- Step 3: Sign up first, if you are a first time user. There will be two options first for Indian residents and second one for Overseas Elector. Choose the slot and fill in your mobile number and email address details. Submit the captcha and continue.
- Step 4: Fill in your OTP and provide the details such as your name, email, password, etc.
- Step 5: Enter your 10-digit EPIC number given in your Voter ID card. The registration will be successful, now you can log in to download your Voter ID card.
- Step 6 : Now, Log in to the site by entering your mobile number/ Email ID/ EPIC no., enter the Password and captcha and request OTP.
- Step 6: You will get a OTP on your mobile number. Enter the OTP and your Voter ID will appear on your screen, Download it.
How to download the Voter ID through Voter Helpline Mobile application?
There’s another option to download your Voter ID card through Voter Helpline Mobile application. Follow the steps to download your Voter ID card through the above option:
- Step 1: Install the Voter Helpline App from the Google play store or apple store.
- Step 2: Go to the “Personal Vault” option.
- Step 3: Log in yourself by entering your mobile number and password. You will receive an OTP to number.
- Step 4: Fill in the OTP and you will be directed to your EPIC details.
- Step 5: Now, you will see a download button below, click on that and the e-EPIC card will be downloaded in your smartphone.
How to apply for the Voter ID card?
If you are eligible for the 2024 election i.e. have attained the age of 18 years, you are an Indian citizen, and have a permanent address, then you must cast your vote and for that you need to have your Voter Identification card. Now, if you haven’t applied yet, then buckle up and apply right now with these following steps:
- Step 1: Go to Voter Services Portal.https://voters.eci.gov.in/
- Step 2: Sign up on the portal. Enter the asked details.
- Step 3: Once you will get registered, Log in to the portal.
- Step 4: Now, on your left you will see a section with Form heading. Click on “Form 6.”
- Step 5: Fill in your details such as name, permanent address, aadhar card details, photograph etc.
- Step 6: Submit the application by clicking on the Submit button.
Once your application gets verified, you will receive your Voter ID card. You can also track your application on the same site from track application status on the right hand side of the home page, the services corner.
