Eid ul-Fitr Mubarak History & Namaz

The festival was initiated by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in 624 CE to celebrate the victory in the Battle of Badr. Since then, it has become a significant day in Islam. New clothing are worn, and presents are exchanged. It’s a time to strengthen bonds and promote unity. Eid ul-Fitr encourages acts of kindness and charity.

Muslims are reminded to be compassionate toward the less fortunate, share their blessings, and help those in need. Remember, Eid ul-Fitr is not just about feasting; it’s a time to express gratitude, foster community, and spread love and compassion.

On Eid al-Fitr, Muslims perform a special salat consisting of two (units). These prayers are generally conducted in an open field or large hall and are often performed in congregation. The Hanafi school of Sunni Islam includes seven additional Takbirs during the prayer.
