The son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, has been appointed to the Tamil Nadu Cabinet as the Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports Development, as well as the Minister of Special Initiatives Implementation.

Indian politician, film producer, and former actor Udhayanidhi Stalin 46 years old was born on November 27, 1977, and is well-known in the Tamil film industry. In order to concentrate on politics, he ended his acting career in 2023.

In December 2022, his father, M. K. Stalin, the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, nominated him to the position of Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development in the Special Act implementation Department of Tamil Nadu. 

In 2021, Udhayanidhi Stalin a former secretary of the DMK youth wing was nominated as an MLA for Tamil Nadu. He launched a barrage of assaults throughout the election campaign against the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The former deputy chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M. K. Stalin, and Durga Stalin welcomed Udhayanidhi Stalin into the world in Chennai. He is M. Karunanidhi’s grandson, the former chief minister. 

He attended Chennai’s Loyola College to further his schooling. Kuruvi marked the beginning of Udhayanidhi’s film producing career in 2008. A large number of the Karunanidhi family’s relatives work in the film and political industries. 

In his younger years, Udhayanidhi’s grandpa Karunanidhi worked as a playwright and had a strong interest in Tamil poetry, drama, and literature. For a brief while in the late 1980s, his father, MK Stalin, tried his hand at acting, appearing in two Tamil films and two Tamil TV soap operas. 

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, his spouse, is a writer and director of films. Udhyanidhi views M Karunanidhi, his grandpa, as his personal hero. From 1969 until 2011, Karunanidhi, a highly regarded politician and statesman, led Tamil Nadu as its chief minister five times. In 2018, at the ripe age of 94, Karunanidhi passed away after a prolonged illness.

Udhayanidhi participated in political campaigns for DMK candidates prior to being elected as an MLA. Since 2019, Udhayanidhi has also held the position of DMK youth wing secretary, following in his father’s footsteps. 

As stated by the Times of India, Chief Minister MK Stalin conferred with the party’s then-general secretary, K Anbazhagan, and contemplated transferring it to Anbil Mahesh, the current Minister of School Education. But according to reports, Anbil Mahesh declined the offer, stating that he would prefer to serve as “Udhayanidhi’s lieutenant.”

In the Chepauk-Threeuvallikeni Assembly Constituency of the 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election, Udhayanidhi Stalin ran and won. On June 21, 2021, Udhayanidhi Stalin first presented a robotic sewer sweeper in his Tamil Nadu seat of Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni.

Udhayanidhi Stalin Film Career

Actor and producer Udhayanidhi made his film debut in 2008 with Kuruvi. Since then, he has produced successful movies like as Aadhavan, 7aum Arivu, and Vanakkam Chennai. He distributed commercial successes including Beast, Vikram, Ponniyin Selvan-1, and Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal. 

Prior to landing her first major part in Aadhavan, Udhayanidhi acted in several films. In addition, he acted in movies like Kalaga Thalaivan and Manithan, which centered on social justice.

He made an appearance in Mysskin’s Psycho in 2020, which delves inside the mind of a serial murderer. He plays an IPS officer in the 2022 version of Article 15 in Hindi, Nenjuku Needhi. Next, Udhayanidhi featured in the thriller Kalaga Thalaivan by Magizh Thirumeni. In Maamannan, Udhayanidhi made his last cinematic appearance 2023.

Udhayanidhi Stalin Personal Life & Awards 

Udhayanidhi wed Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi in 2002, and the two of them had a daughter and a boy. Kiruthiga is now in charge of the lifestyle publication Inbox 1305. She also directed Kaali (2018) and Vanakkam Chennai (2013) for Red Giant Movies. 

His son Inban Udhayanidhi has committed to play football for the I-League team NEROCA FC.According to Udhayanidhi, he is an atheist. M. K. Stalin is Udhayanidhi Stalin’s father, and Durga Stalin is her mother.
