Emmys Host, Venue & Time 2024

Only a few days remain until the much-anticipated 75th annual Primetime Emmys, but Anthony Anderson will finally be hosting the show.

The “Black-ish” actor will host the January 15, 2024, Fox live broadcast, which will take place at 8 p.m. ET/5pm PT from the L.A. Live complex’s Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

Anderson said in a statement, “Now that the recent difficulties facing our industry are behind us, we can return to what we love: dressing up and honouring ourselves.” “And the historic 75th Emmy Awards are the ideal celebration to unite the creative community.”

Taylor Swift’s absence thrilled me when Fox asked me to host this historic telecast, and I’m excited to be a part of the biggest night in television history.

Why were the Emmys Awards for 2024 Postponed?

The Emmys were greatly impacted by Hollywood’s historic work stoppage of writers and actors, which caused a rare four-month delay in the show.

Television Academy leaders were among those who exhaled with relief on December 5, when actors voted to approve their new contract that ended the strike and placed a time limit on the stoppage.

Originally scheduled for September 18, 2023, were the 75th Emmy Awards. The ceremony was scheduled for late July, with the January date revealed later, due to the then-current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
