The Basic Sciences and Humanities Department at GMRIT offers courses in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Managerial Economics & Financial Analysis. These courses are offered to students in the first two years.

The English course is designed to enhance language and communication skills, while a two year course in Mathematics reinforce the mathematical abilities required for advance engineering research and development. In addition, the Physics and Chemistry courses give our undergraduates a sound foundation in principles of engineering materials/technology and the analysis, testing and synthesis of materials. Students are trained to deal with economic, financial and managerial issues at the Managerial Economics & Financial Analysis course.
