The Basic Sciences and Humanities Department at GMRIT offers
courses in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Managerial
Economics and Financial Analysis. These courses are offered to students in
the first two years.
The English course is designed to enhance language and communication skills,
while a two year course in Mathematics reinforces the mathematical abilities
required for advance engineering research and development. In addition, the
Physics and Chemistry courses give our undergraduates a sound foundation in
principles of engineering materials/technology and the analysis, testing and
synthesis of materials. Students are trained to deal with economic, financial
and managerial issues at the Managerial Economics & Financial Analysis
course.
